Our ministry teams provide our people with opportunities
to use their spiritual gifts to reach out to others
and minister to our church family.
Teams usually meet once per month for about an hour or so. We’re always looking for people with servant’s hearts who love God, love people and are team players! So whether you have gifts of leadership, administration, service, hospitality, creativity, teaching, encouragement, sharing your faith or something else…think about how you can contribute to use your gifts, interests and experience to serve Jesus at Mira Mesa Presbyterian Church.
Our outreach team seeks to share the message of Christ’s love with our community. We participate in and organize community events, invite our neighbors to church and share our faith with those around us. If you are interested, please contact the committee chair.
Our missions team seeks to mobilize our church to help share God’s love by helping meet the needs of others in our community, city and world. We raise funds to help feed the needy in Mira Mesa and San Diego. We reach out to military families, the homeless and orphans in Mexico. If you have a heart to minister to the needs of others, our missions team might be a place for you! For more information, please contact John Bridges.
The worship team seeks to provide quality worship services and experiences for our congregation. They are responsible for the entire music ministry of our church, as well as Sunday morning worship services, seasonal worship events and special worship services. For more information please contact Fred Tow.
Children’s and Youth Ministries Team
This team is responsible for the Christian nurture of our children and youth as they grow into followers of Jesus Christ. Specifically, the children’s and student ministries team is responsible for the nursery/preschool, children’s ministry (grades k-5th grade) and middle/high school ministries. The team works with our children’s ministry coordinator and youth director in all facets of Christian education, programs and ministry. For more information, please contact: Carrie Green or Ed Pollack.
Adult Ministries Team
The adult ministries team is responsible for providing adult Bible studies, individual women’s and men’s studies, small groups, college/career studies, new members classes and overseeing the church library. If interested in serving with this team, please contact the committee chair.
The fellowship team plans church-wide events that help bring us together for fun and getting to know one another! They’re always looking for creative ideas and people to help. If interested please contact the committee chair.
This team handles a lot of the “nuts and bolts” of our church: work projects, maintenance, buildings, landscaping, personnel, finances, etc. If you have gifts and experience with any of these categories, the management team might be a good place to plug-in! If interested contact Jon Sivers.
