local missions and service

Jesus said that we are to, “love our neighbor as ourselves”

(Matthew 22:39)

It is our desire to share God’s love with others in our local community and the city of San Diego.

If you would like to use your gifts, time and talents, we would love to have you get involved!

Below are a few of the ministries we are involved in and partner with.

If you would like more information on of the ministries below and how you can get involved,

please contact our Missions Ministry Team Leader, John Bridges.

Heavenly Hands

Craft Bazaar

A church-sponsored holiday craft event that raises money for local missions.

Each year this popular event is held at Mira Mesa Presbyterian Church in November., just in time for finding special one-of-a-kind gifts at a great price.

Each year a Christmas Quilt is raffled at this event, and this year's special quilt has been made by one of Mira Mesa Presbyterian Church's founding members.

Ladle Fellowship

Feed the Homeless of San Diego with Ladle Fellowship

We serve a hot meal and offer a worship service each Sunday afternoon that is attended primarily by San Diego's urban poor and homeless. We also distribute clothing to those who need it.

Every other month our church takes a group down to First Presbyterian Church of San Diego to minister with Ladle Fellowship.

Won’t you join us?

sock lunches

A ministry to the needy of our community

that anyone can be a part of!

“Sock Lunches” is a ministry of our church to homeless people we might encounter in our community in the course of our daily lives. Socks are stuffed with snacks, water, toiletry items and an invitation to learn more about Jesus.

Volunteers work to prepare the socks and fill baskets of them which are made available to anyone in our congregation wishing to be a blessing to those they might encounter who are in need.
