Children's ministries

MMPC Kids means fun and faith! Our desire is to provide an environment where your child feels secure and accepted so they can make friends with classmates and teachers, have fun and learn about how much God loves them.

We see our children’s ministry as a partnership with each child’s family. Our hope is that your children will be sharing the stories and lessons they’ve learned about God and Jesus at home with you! Our role is to help get those conversations started. We want to partner with you as faith in Jesus grows in the life of your child.

MMPC Kids on Sunday!

Pre-Service 9:15-9:30am

Our Children’s Classrooms are located off the church playground. Just come through the open gate to the playground and find your child’s classroom. A teacher will be there to assist you in checking-in your child. Details for check-in and other concerns are below.

Six months through Preschool check-in prior to service

They will interact and have a short period of playtime that will allow the teachers time to get to know the children and ease any separation anxieties. At check-in you will be asked to fill out a two-part adhesive name-tag with your child’s name. One side of the sticker will be placed on your child; the other part of the tag will be given to the parent. We will not release a child to anyone without the presentation of the matching sticker tag.

Our Sunday mornings for preschoolers include playtime with toys, songs and an interactive lesson with the teachers. Children will learn about God’s love and care for them through interactive lessons and crafts with their teachers. There will also be time for play on the playground.

For our children 6 months - preschool, we demonstrate Christ’s love by providing a safe and clean environment for children to play and be nurtured. We recommend that you bring a diaper bag with the following in it:

• One or two disposable diapers

• If your child wears cloth diapers, please include a large ziploc bag for changing.  Pocket and all-in-ones only, please.

• Pacifier if needed

• Change of clothes in case they are needed

• A bottle of milk, juice, or water

Please label all items with your child’s first and last name before arriving to class so that we can keep track of all objects.

Kindergarten through Fifth Grade

Children start in the main adult worship service for a brief opening time, then will be dismissed to their classes and led out by their teachers.

Once in their classrooms, your child will enjoy a time of large group singing and a lesson. Teachers often use object lessons and videos segments to help make the bible stories come alive with creativity. Afterwards, children will break up into smaller groups based on age (K thru 2nd, and 3rd thru 5th) for small group interaction, memory verses and crafts. Playtime on the playground ends our time as children build relationships with each other and their teachers.

Parents must come to the playground to pick up their child or children.

Children’s Events and Summer Vacation Bible School Week Fun!

On occasion, your child will have an opportunity to enjoy a special event just for them! Movie nights, pizza parties, game nights and other fun stuff are in the works. Look for upcoming children’s activities in your children’s Sunday classroom.

Each summer we provide a week-long Vacation Bible School program! It meets here at MMPC from 9:00am to noon, Monday thru Friday and is for all kids pre-K to fifth grade! Kids will have a blast with fun games, great music and singing, Bible stories, skits, crafts, snacks and more! Check with our children’s ministry for more details.
